September Suprise

So there has been a reason I have super neglected this blog besides the Holidays. Yes we are having a baby Girl due May 5th. We are so excited and the kids are so excited. They ask so many questions about how they were as babies, and when this baby will be here, and how will she be and look like. It is so exciting to grow our little family. I was not feeling super awesome the first little while so I didn't do much of anything including adding pictures to this blog. Even if no one reads it, it is a way for me to keep track of our families little adventures through life.
This last summer was so fun. Calvin decided he likes little tomatoes and so he really wanted a tomato plant. Here is his little tomato plant that he took care of all summer and it gave him plenty of tiny tomatoes to eat. It was exciting to see how excited he would get when they started to grow and all the waiting and work was worth it. He was so proud.
Calvin also started Joy School with some of the kids in the neighborhood. He goes every Tuesday and Thursday morning and loves to be with his friends. It is neat to see him all grown up and watch him take it seriously. So far the school thing is still awesome for him.
Calvi and Jodi just being silly.
Jodi loves to get her hair all done up with bows she is such a girl.
Just grocery shopping with 2 crazy kids. Jodi likes to lay down in the little kid seat in the front of shopping carts.
When my sister Jill moved away we took over her awesome jungle gym and the kids LOVE to do tricks on it.
 Just enjoying the nice weather!
We were laying down taking a nap together. The kids don't usually take naps in the same bed but that day it worked.
Picking apples in the apple orchard on campus with uncle Tysen. The kids still love to go to the gardens and wander around. They really liked picking different apples from all the different trees.
This month we took the kids on a temple trip. Calvin loves temples so much that he really wanted to go see some. So we made a deal with him if he could go to nursery for a whole month without crying we would take him on this trip. It was amazing how well he did and still does going to class. So one Friday we left early in the morning and headed south to Utah. Here we are at the first stop in Brigham City. We stopped at a total of 10 temples in 1 day. When we got to a temple we would all get out walk around the temple and take a picture. I do have a picture of all the temples we made them into a temple book.  Then we would go inside to the front desk and get a little "temple book" (the temple schedule with a picture on it). We would use the bathroom/ get a drink or see what the waiting room looked like. Calvin just loved it! It was a lot of driving but he just kept saying I want to go to the next one!! It was a great experience for our family to just see these beautiful buildings and feel the love and importance that they have. In some temples the workers would talk to the kids and tell them something special about that particular temple or about temples in general. It was such a fun weekend trip.
Since we were in Utah we cant visit there without riding on the Front Runner train. We stayed with my Aunt and Uncles house who live in Provo for the night and also got to visit with my brother there for the day. It was fun and the kids really enjoyed being there. My brother drove our car back to SLC while our whole family was able to ride the train for 1 hr the next day! The kids were entertained the whole time.
We spent Saturday morning in SLC looking at some sites there. This temple was Calvin's favorite. As we got closer Calvi got supper excited and started saying "Wow that temple is my favorite it has so many sticks!" he liked all the spikes on the top. At the end of the whole trip he still thought that was the best one.
Saturday afternoon we drove on over to Vernal Utah to go visit tys sister Cori who had just moved there. It was fun to see a new place and get to visit her for a little while. This is an awesome park she took us to and calvin really did climb that whole way by himself.
Here are the kids helping Cori with dinner. We had a really great time visiting with family and seeing all the temples that weekend.
Calvin has been wanting to do things by himself. Here he is making his own sandwich for lunch this is something he loves to do and is so proud of when it is done. He makes interesting sandwiches but eats them with pride when he is done.
Here are a few things that came from the garden before we pulled everything out. We Had a really fun and busy month!

I read your blog -- and save some of my favorite pics. :) Calvin should go on a temple trip over here! He could at least visit 2 in a day!
